- Drive My Car. Released by the Beatles in 1965 on their album, ‘Rubber Soul’. Like many Beatles songs, this has been covered by many artists, including the Spice Girls.
- Mustang Sally. This R&B song is best known for being on the soundtrack for the 1991 movie ‘The Commitments’. It was originally recorded in 1965 by American singer songwriter Bonny ‘Mack’ Rice. It gained popularity in 1966 when it was covered by popular artist Wilson Pickett. Well-known artists like Bruce Springsteen and Blues legend Buddy Guy have also made this song their own.
- Little Red Corvette. Classic Prince from his album ‘1999’ which was released in 1983.
- I’m In Love with My Car. A rock classic from UK band Queen. Released in 1975 on the album ‘A Night at The Opera’ written entirely by drummer Roger Taylor.
- Mercedes Benz. This is an a cappella song (no instrumental accompaniment) sung by blues queen Janis Joplin.
- Drive. by The Cars was barred by UK radio station XFM after the death of Princess Diana, as being a song that might upset their listeners.
- On the Road Again. Country legend Willie Nelson released this song in 1980. He wrote it about life on tour as a country music singer.
