On November 2 grab a picnic lunch and head to enjoy Brisbane’s decade long free Grass Roots Music Festival.
Have fun on the grass or dance with the audience in this great family friendly, alcohol free environment. Music includes some of the region’s best inventive country, blues, roots, folk and acoustic artists.
The festival starts from 11 am and continues to 5 pm in the afternoon. There is plenty of parking at and around the Botanic Gardens, Generously supported by the Brisbane City Council, the annual music festival has been running for a full decade now but there are also buses that go directly to the Gardens from the city (bus number 471) and from as far away as Chermside and Garden City (Buses 598 and 599).
Grass Roots Music Festival is set to bring the sweet sounds beautiful Queensland country, blues, roots, folk and audio music to the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens, Towing on Sunday 3 November, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The aces and entry of this show is totally free.
Hosted by the ever-convivial 8 Ball Aitken, the ‘Ginga Ninja’ show up a fresh collection of talent for the pleasure of picnic-packing music fans. Families are especially welcome but pets are not allowed and this event is drug & alcohol free.
Brisbane in the springtime is a magnificent thing. The jacarandas are boom and raining down calm breeze-driven drifts of purple floral snow. The birds are busy coupling off and building their nests, at the same moment wonderful Brisbane music loving humans get back to nature and enjoy the original music in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens atop glorious Mt. Coot-tha.
As the afternoon warms up, the dancers will come out to gambol in force, with music designed to get festival-goers up on their feet and prancing on the lawn.
